1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored by a browser. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, pixels, and identifiers used to remember preferences, operate sessions, protect forms, and measure service use.
2. Essential cookies
- Session and authentication cookies used to keep users logged in.
- CSRF protection cookies used to protect forms and AJAX requests.
- Language and widget language cookies used to remember selected language.
- Remember-me cookies where the user chooses persistent login.
- Security and abuse-prevention cookies used to protect the service.
3. Functional cookies
- Theme preference storage for light or dark mode.
- Widget preferences such as language, units, layout, or user-selected configuration where enabled.
- Navigation and interface state needed to provide a consistent user experience.
4. Security and bot protection
We may use Cloudflare Turnstile and Google reCAPTCHA to protect forms, support requests, and quote requests from automated abuse. These providers may process IP address, browser data, interaction signals, and related security information.
5. Analytics and marketing cookies
Where enabled, Google Analytics measures page views and successful account creation only after analytics consent. Meta Pixel measures page views and, after email verification and completion of account setup, completed registrations only after marketing consent. These acquisition events run on Remapdb marketing and signup pages and a dedicated account-completion confirmation page. They do not run inside customer widgets, on profile forms, or on verification-token, password-reset, admin or dashboard pages.
On eligible public website pages, Contentsquare may measure interactions and record sessions after analytics consent. Its tag is excluded from embedded widgets, catalog and demo pages, and URLs containing query strings or fragments. Withdrawing analytics consent stops its collection and requests removal of its tracking cookies. An existing Contentsquare opt-out is respected; accepting analytics again does not automatically remove that opt-out. The consent preference cookie (remapdb_cookie_consent_v2) lasts up to 182 days and is shared between remapdb.com and app.remapdb.com. With analytics consent, rdb_first_touch can remember a recognised organic-search source. With marketing consent, it can remember tagged campaign labels, and Meta can use _fbp and _fbc cookies. These cookies last up to 90 days. The first eligible source, medium, campaign, ad label, query-free landing page and capture time are saved with a newly created account. This account record is separate from the browser cookie.
We also use rdb_signup_attribution to remember how you first reached our public website or signup page. This first-party cookie is shared with app.remapdb.com for up to 90 days and works independently of optional analytics and advertising consent. It records the source, medium, channel, landing page without query strings, referring website origin and visit time, which are saved with a newly created account. It does not load analytics or advertising services. You can remove it using your browser’s cookie controls.
You can withdraw consent through Manage cookie preferences below. Withdrawal stops further events for the withdrawn category and clears its attribution and tracking cookies. It does not undo events already sent or delete attribution already saved with an account. A new tracking grant after withdrawal takes effect on the next full page load.
6. Managing cookies
You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent login, checkout, quote forms, widget loading, or security features from working correctly.
