Questions about the Remapdb Widget

What does the tuning widget add to my website?

The widget adds vehicle selection, available tuning reference information, and an optional quote form. Visitors choose an engine and contact your business with vehicle context. You configure the fields and controls included in your plan.

Is this a remap calculator for my website?

You can use it to display stock and reference stage power and torque for supported engines. It does not measure a vehicle or calculate a bespoke calibration. Displayed gains are reference values, not guaranteed tuning results.

Does the widget supply ECU tuning files?

No. Remapdb supplies vehicle and tuning information. On Pro and Max, a customer can attach an ECU read or other supporting file to an enquiry. Your team receives the attachment; Remapdb does not process it or return a tuned binary.

Can customers search by registration plate or VIN?

The quote form can collect a VIN or registration number entered by the customer. It does not decode that number or automatically select the vehicle. Customers use vehicle search or the catalog to select their engine.

Can I use my own form instead?

Yes. Turn quoting off in the widget settings if you only want to show vehicle information. Connecting a separate form to vehicle data may require work in your own website.

Can I change the displayed tuning gains and vehicle list?

Yes. Customizations on Pro and Max lets you add records, edit displayed tuning values, and manage visibility. You edit information shown to customers, not ECU files.

Which website platforms can use the widget?

Use a website that allows the supplied embed code. Restrictions and sizing behavior depend on the website builder. WordPress has a dedicated plugin. Test the widget on desktop and mobile before publishing.

Can I remove Remapdb branding?

Plus, Pro, and Max include removal of Remapdb branding. Compare available font, color, and other styling controls on the pricing page.

Can I show a dealer locator map?

Yes. Pro and Max include Dealers and a standalone map embed. Enable dealers, save valid locations, and place the map on an allowed website. Visitors can also select a dealer when requesting a quote.

Will the widget improve my Google rankings?

Rankings are not guaranteed. SEO features and shareable URLs depend on your plan and integration. The widget embed alone does not guarantee that vehicle content is indexed on your domain; your pages still need useful original content and a crawlable implementation.

What does the Free plan include?

One website, the widget, WordPress connection, and up to five quote requests per day. API and MCP access are separate features on API and Max. Compare the pricing table before choosing a plan.

How do I check coverage and languages?

Use the vehicle selector on this page to check the engines you serve and preview your chosen language. Available records, fields, and tuning stages vary. Contact support with specific vehicles or language requirements.
